Our Client - A global leading service provider to the oil and gas industry focusing on providing image driven seismic solutions to exploration and development assets on a global scale. Through new ventures team and prospect generation team the organisation provide wholistic basin scale models to allow EandP companies to best assess future exploration potential, on a global scale. The team is currently based out of Houston, however the organisation are setting up a new team in the SE of England focusing on Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Europe. This team is seeking a Senior Interpretation Geophysicist as part of the growth of the team.
Due to a new project kicking off focusing on the Niger Delta my client is seeking an experienced geophysicist with extensive exposure to the Niger Delta and/or West Africa.

Responsibilities
- This role will support the growth of the new ventures group in the UK through providing expert interpretation in order to assist in the success of the program.
- Interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data and developing integrated interpretations at basin level.
- The integration of well data and other geological data to seismic interpretations.
- Optimise the imaging and velocity models to ensure geological models are sound.
- The integration of gravity, magnetics and other techniques into interpretations.
- Conduct depth imaging.
- Degree qualification in geology and geophysics, and ideally a post-graduate qualification in a relevant subject.
- Extensive experience within the Oil and Gas industry or academia.
- Excellent seismic interpretation skills, ideally in Kingdom.
- Depth imaging experience.
- The ability to integrate numerous geological and geophysical techniques into interpretations.
- Strong team player who is able to assist in mentoring and developing junior team member.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience of West Africa and/or West Africa.
- Experience of deep water passive margins.
- Experience of working on salt basins and/or fold and thrust belts.
